The 2025 United Football League season begins on March 28th, and while it will never bring the excitement of the NFL, there are plenty of players that college football fans should be very familiar with. Here are just a few:

QB Jarrett Guarantano (Tennessee/Washington State)

Jarrett Guarantano experienced some success with the Vols before transferring to Washington State for his final collegiate season. Overall he passed for 6,478 yards and 39 touchdowns in five seasons. After going undrafted in 2022, he spent time with both the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos. He was on the Broncos active roster for one game in 2022, but was waived during the summer of 2023. He began his UFL career in 2024 with the Houston Roughnecks and will play this season with the San Antonio Brahmas.

QB Matt Corral (Ole Miss)

After a successful career with the Rebels, Matt Corral was drafted in the third round by the Carolina Panthers in 2022. However, after missing his rookie season with an injury, he was cut in the days leading up to the start of the 2023 season. He then spent some time with both the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings, but didn’t make the active rosters. Corral did play with Birmingham last season and resigned with the Stallions in December to once again lead the offense.

WR Denzel Mims (Baylor)

Denzel Mims had three very productive seasons with the Bears before being drafted in the second round by the New York Jets in 2020. In three seasons with the Jets he totaled 42 receptions for 676 yards before getting traded to the Detroit Lions in 2023. However, he was waived before the season began. He also spent limited time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars before signing with the St. Louis Battlehawks, where he will be playing his first season in the UFL this spring.

QB Anthony Brown (Boston College/Oregon)

Anthony Brown began his collegiate career at Boston College, where in three seasons he passed for 4,738 yards and 40 touchdowns. He then transferred to Oregon, where in 2021 he passed for 2,989 yards and 18 touchdowns. Undrafted in 2022, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent where he played in two games as a rookie. However, he was released in 2023, days before the season was to begin. Brown then spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals and Buffalo Bills (twice). He signed with the Houston Roughnecks earlier this month, where he will begin his UFL career.
