Former Tennessee Vols safety Will Brooks signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Kansas City Chiefs shortly after the 2025 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately for Brooks, his time with the Chiefs is already over.

Kansas City waived Brooks on Tuesday after the Chiefs' held their rookie minicamp.

Brooks, a former walk-on at Tennessee, developed into a key player for the Vols over the last two seasons.

The Alabama native started all 13 games for the Vols in 2024, totaling 59 tackles, four tackles for loss, a half sack, and four interceptions during his final season on Rocky Top.

Brooks' most memorable play in a Tennessee uniform was easily his interception that sealed the Vols' win against Alabama in 2024.

Brooks will likely receive another opportunity in the NFL, but he'll have a steep uphill climb ahead of him to make a 53-man roster.
