Chryst's LinkedIn page says "special projects" for the Seahawks from April 2025 to now. He has served as an analyst at Iowa over the last two seasons. Before that, he served as an offensive graduate assistant working with quarterbacks for Wisconsin, where he worked with Graham Mertz before the latter transferred to Florida.
Chryst spent five years at the college level, spending 2014-17 with Stanford before coming to Tennessee for the 2018 season as a grad transfer. He appeared in 8 games as a backup to Jarrett Guarantano, going 23/51 passing for 450 yards with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He was given the My All award at the team's end of the year banquet.
Chryst is still early in his coaching career, so like many young players looking to break into the coaching ranks, he'll have to work his way up from near the bottom. We'll see if he can keep working his way up the ladder in the Pacific Northwest.
