EA Sports released its first set of announcements on Monday regarding details of the latest Madden NFL 26 edition that's set to release on Aug. 14.

On July 28, EA Sports revealed the seven players who made the game's "99 Club." In Madden 25, five players made the elite list: quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, running back Christian McCaffrey, offensive tackle Trent Williams, and wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

In this edition, a new group of seven made the 99 Overall Club, and the only defenseman is a Texas A&M Aggie product.

Former Aggie and current Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was the No. 1 overall selection of the 2017 NFL Draft after playing three seasons at Texas A&M. His junior campaign was derailed by injuries early in the season, but his 2014-15 performance was enough for the Browns.

From 2022-23, Garrett was a 99 Overall Club player, but fell to a 98 rating from 2024-25. He joins Ja'Marr Chase, Josh Allen, Justin Jefferson, Lamar Jackson, Lane Johnson, and Saquon Barkley in this edition's overall 99 rated players.

Garrett recorded 47 total tackles (40 solo, seven assists), 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one pass defended for Cleveland in the 2024-25 season.

EA Sports gave the defensive end a 87 speed rating, 96 strength rating, 86 agility rating, 71 change of direction rating, 92 injury rating, and 97 awareness rating in Madden NFL 26.

In 2015, Garrett was a Rotary Lombardi Award finalist, Ted Hendricks Award finalist, Bednarik Award semifinalist, and led the SEC in sacks, tackles for loss, and forced fumbles. After his third season, he posted 84 solo tackles, 61 assists, 48.5 tackles for a 252 total loss, 32.5 sacks for 197 total yards, five pass deflections, and seven forced fumbles in his collegiate career.

The Madden NFL 26 Deluxe Edition can be pre-ordered to play seven days earlier on Aug. 7.
