Former Titans DL Jack Crawford announces retirement

Former Tennessee Titans defensive lineman, Jack Crawford, announced his retirement on Monday after playing ten seasons in the NFL.

"After 10 seasons in the NFL I know my time has come to step away from the game and close this chapter of my life in the league," Crawford said via his Twitter account

Crawford, 33, last played in the NFL in 2020 with the Titans. He started nine of 16 games played, finishing with 28 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.

The ten-year veterans signed with the Arizona Cardinals ahead of the 2021 season but spent the entire year on injured reserve.

Born in London, England, Crawford moved to the United States at 16 years old before playing for three years at Penn State. After posting 85 tackles, 14 sacks, nine pass defenses, and one forced fumble in 36 games with the Nittany Lions, the Oakland Raiders drafted Crawford in the fifth round (158th) of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Crawford spent his first two NFL seasons with the Raiders before signing with the Dallas Cowboys, where he played from 2014 to 2016. Crawford would spend the next three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons after signing a $10.3 million free-agent contract in 2017 before joining the Titans ahead of the 2020 season.

In 109 career NFL games, Crawford started 35 games, compiling 165 tackles, 18 sacks, four pass defenses, three forced fumbles, and an interception.
