A former Tennessee Vols standout received an impressive NFL honor this week.
Detroit Lions linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin was named the NFC special teams player of the week in Week 13 for his performance against the New Orleans Saints. Reeves-Maybin totaled four special teams tackles and graded out at 87.3 per Pro Football Focus.

Reeves-Maybin was a standout linebacker at Tennessee from 2013 to 2016. He was an All-SEC second team member as a junior in 2015.
The former Vol was selected by the Lions in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft. Reeves-Maybin spent the first five years of his NFL career in Detroit before spending the 2022 season with the Houston Texans. He returned to Detroit ahed of the 2023 season after signing a one-year contract.
