Former WR Sends Heartfelt Goodbye to Cardinals, Fans

Arizona Cardinals WR Rondale Moore was traded to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for QB Desmond Ridder this week, a move that took some by surprise in the desert.

With Marquise Brown opting to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona's wide receiver room lost another name as we enter the next stage of free agency, though the Cardinals believe they've got a strong developmental quarterback in Ridder.

Moore posted a heartfelt goodbye message to the organization today.

"I want to express my sincerest gratitude for the opportunity you granted me by drafting me into the league. It has been an incredible journey representing our team and city. The support, guidance and camaraderie I've experienced here have been invaluable in shaping me as a player and as a person. As I embark on a new chapter with a different team, I carry with me the lessons and memories from our time together. Thank you for believing in me and for the unforgettable experiences. I will always cherish the time spent here."

Moore was originally a second-round pick from Purdue, drafted by the Cardinals in the 2021 NFL Draft. Under multiple play-callers in Kliff Kingsbury and Drew Petzing, Arizona couldn't quite maximize his speed or ability to stretch the field.

That's possible in Atlanta, where Moore joins a trio of weapons in Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts and Drake London with new quarterback Kirk Cousins in the fold. The Falcons also hold a top ten pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
