Ahead of Thursday's official schedule reveal, the NFL has gradually teased snippets of the 2025 calendar.
On Monday, FOX revealed a doubleheader for Saturday, Dec. 20. The network will televise a pair of marquee NFC division clashes in Week 16.
The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Washington Commanders in an NFC Championship Game rematch. Then the Green Bay Packers will face the Chicago Bears.

This marked the second Eagles game confirmed on Monday. Philadelphia will begin its Super Bowl defense on Thursday, Sept. 4, against the Dallas Cowboys.
Many fans thought the Commanders deserved that primetime spotlight after reaching the NFL's final four last season. As a rookie, Jayden Daniels led the franchise to their most regular-season wins (12) since 1991 and their first playoff triumphs in two decades.
Commanders fans will hope this Saturday showdown plays out like last December's Week 16 meeting. Down by 13 to start the fourth quarter, Daniels led Washington to a 36-33 win with 258 passing yards, 81 rushing yards, and five touchdowns.
However, Eagles fans will certainly prefer the postseason script. Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts each scored three rushing touchdowns in a 55-23 rout at Lincoln Financial Field.
Meanwhile, the Packers have enjoyed a one-sided rivalry with the Bears in recent years. Green Bay won 11 straight games against Chicago before resting starters in a Week 18 loss that still came down to a last-second field goal.
That dynamic could change with new head coach Ben Johnson going to the Windy City. The former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator will look to lead Caleb Williams to a second-season surge following a tumultuous debut.
A revamped offensive line could make Chicago another threat in a stacked NFC North. The Packers finished third in the division last season despite going 11-6.
The NFL's doubleheader announcement could potentially signal a Christmas Day assignment for these NFC teams. That would give them an extra day before playing on Thursday, Dec. 25.
These plans could also create scheduling conflicts for football fans. For the second straight year, the NFL will hold games on the same Saturday of the College Football Playoff's opening round.
