Charissa Thompson had been with Fox Sports for over a decade but her contract expired after the 2024 NFL season.
Thompson joined the network to help launch FS1 and hosted Fox Sports Live before hosting FOX NFL Kickoff. She has also hosted Amazon Prime's pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows for Thursday Night Football these last three years.
Thompson revealed on her "Calm Down" podcast with co-host Erin Andrews that her contract expired after this past season and thanked FOX for everything.
"I just have to say one thing and this is also what I am going on and on about Fox, and I swear, I mean it’s not just because my contract’s up, I love Fox so much because my brother and my dad came to the Super Bowl, and Fox is family to me, so my own family like sharing in those moments," Thompson said, via the New York Post.
Both Thompson and Andrews covered Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles for FOX since they both worked for the network during the 2024 season. FOX also had the rights to Super Bowl LIX.
She's done a really good job with the network and while she could still be re-signed to a new deal, she may be going to another network for the 2025 season and perhaps beyond.
Thompson will still host Thursday Night Football for Amazon Prime Video but it remains to be seen if she'll host more NFL coverage during the season or if she'll do other sports.
Either way, she did good work with FOX since joining the network in 2013.
