Leading up to the Carolina Panthers' disappointing, but somewhat expected, 33-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Frank Reich had "some sharks" looking to take his job, according to reports.

Now, those sharks smell blood.

CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones revealed the Panthers could be open to shopping right, and if that is the case, some top candidates could be open to assuming Reich's role.

Against the Cowboys, with Reich calling the plays again, the Panthers' offense still looked awful.

The Panthers scored one touchdown. And to even get that required three incredibly clutch fourth-down plays. It isn't a sustainable brand of offense.

What also doesn't help Reich's job security is rookie quarterback Bryce Young's regression.

He hasn't looked competent for nearly four weeks of football. Whether it is because the offense line hasn't held up or Young's decision-making. has been putrid, the end product is the same: The offense can't figure out how to produce points and yards.

With Reich's job sitting on the edge, the sharks that smell blood appear to be closing in fast. The first-year Panthers coach is already on the hottest seat in the entire NFL.
