San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner had a front-row seat at Levi's Stadium for Super Bowl LX—serving as a broadcast analyst—as the division-rival Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots and celebrated on San Francisco's home field.

Speaking to reporters this week as the 49ers opened their offseason program, Warner was asked about watching Seattle hoist the Lombardi Trophy and Levi's Stadium and even celebrate in the 49ers' locker room. He summed up the experience in just three words.

"It wasn't ideal," Warner said.

Despite the sting, the All-Pro linebacker has moved on and is focused on the 2026 NFL season. Returning to work carries added significance after Warner missed most of last season with a dislocated and fractured right ankle.

"It is what it is, man, and them winning the Super Bowl last year has no effect or bearing on what we do going forward," Warner continued. "It's always a loss in our eyes when we're not the ones winning. It doesn't matter if it's Seattle, if it's an AFC team, or whoever it is. It doesn't matter. If it's not the 49ers, then I'm hot about it.

"So, like I said, it has no bearing on what we do going forward. We're excited to get to work, and ultimately, try to get where we're trying to go."

Warner, a third-round pick by the 49ers in 2018, is entering his ninth NFL season and reports he is fully recovered from the injury that ended his 2025 campaign prematurely.

"I'm feeling great, and no restrictions, just being able to jump right in," he noted.
