Free Agency Report Card: Bills Make The Grade with Hollins?
USA Today Sports

The Buffalo Bills are adding to their receiver room in free agency, signing veteran Mack Hollins from the Atlanta Falcons.

Signing Hollins comes shortly after the team saw Gabe Davis sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.

While the move to add another receiver was necessary, Hollins isn't receiving glowing reviews. Bleacher Report graded the signing and gave the Bills a 'C+'.

"While the addition of Mack Hollins might not move the needle for many fans, he'll give quarterback Josh Allen another downfield threat," Bleacher Report writes. "Hollins was only a periodic contributor with the Atlanta Falcons last season, but he tallied 57 catches for 690 yards and four touchdowns with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. With the Miami Dolphins in 2021, Hollins averaged an impressive 15.9 yards per reception. ... Signing Hollins gives Buffalo another experienced receiving option, although the Bills should still be interested in this year's rookie receiver class."

Hollins won't become Josh Allen's starting receiver opposite Stefon Diggs, but he's a solid veteran backup that can fill in when needed. Khalil Shakir should already be ahead of him on the depth chart, and that's before the Bills even look at the draft for another potential pass catcher.

However, Hollins should be a key piece for the Bills both on offense and special teams this season and his veteran experience could help guide Buffalo as they hope to make another deep playoff run.
