At Kyler Murray’s inaugural celebrity softball game on Saturday, over a dozen NFL stars converged at Scottsdale’s Salt River Fields to support the Cardinals quarterback’s first foray into charity sports.
Among the participants were Dallas Cowboys wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and newly acquired George Pickens, who posed side-by-side behind home plate.
On May 7, the Cowboys sent a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to acquire Pickens and a 2027 sixth-round pick, pairing an elite playmaking talent alongside Lamb.
On Monday, two days after Murray's celebrity softball game, Pickens shared a screenshot of the moment on his Instagram story with the caption, “Goodfellas .”
A product of the University of Georgia, Pickens was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Over three seasons with Pittsburgh, Pickens' stats were some of the best in football.
In 2023, he set career-highs with 1,140 receiving yards and five touchdowns, and in 2024 posted 900 yards on 59 receptions across 14 games, despite missing time with a hamstring injury.
Lamb starred at the University of Oklahoma, earning consensus All-American honors in 2019 before being picked 17th overall by Dallas in 2020.
He was named First-Team All-Pro in 2023, Second-Team All-Pro in 2022 and 2024, and a Pro Bowl nominee from 2021-2024.
In 2023, he set franchise records for single-season receptions (135) and yards (1,749).
In 2024, Lamb posted 101 receptions for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games.
Despite Lamb’s elite production, the Cowboys endured a surprising downturn, finishing 7-10 and sitting out the postseason for the first time since 2020.
