The New York Giants play the Philadelphia Eagles on the road in Week 8. They're looking to bounce back after falling to the Denver Broncos in Week 7, allowing 33 points in the fourth quarter.
At 2-5, the Giants are in a fortunate place in the NFC East, but have found new life behind rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. He was the starting quarterback during wins over the Chargers and Eagles.
Throughout the first seven games, the defense has struggled. New York has allowed the 29th most yards per game (376) and the 23rd most points per game (25.3).
Things have the potential to get much worse, with EDGE Brian Burns missing Wednesday and Thursday's practice with a hip injury.
However, on Friday, just days before taking on the Eagles, head coach Brian Daboll announced that Burns will be returning to practice.
"Brian Burns will practice today, per Brian Daboll #NYGiants" wrote Art Stapleton of USA Today.
This is the pass rusher's second season with the Giants after being traded from the Carolina Panthers. He's started in all seven games to start the season.

Burns has racked up 34 tackles, nine sacks (tied for most in the NFL), 12 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hits, 19 pressures, five hurries and four pass deflections.
His productivity has earned him an 80.8 overall grade with Pro Football Focus, ranking 18th out of 113 qualified edge defenders.
The Giants are going up against an Eagles offensive line that has struggled to protect the quarterback. They've allowed the seventh-most sacks (21) in the NFL.
It's an area the Giants can attack, and having Burns out on the field would be a major boost. They will have to announce the pass rusher's official game status on Friday as well.
