Giants Make Major Odell Beckham Jr. Decision

Beckham had a solid training camp and preseason for Big Blue, catching seven passes for 76 yards in three preseason games.

This announcement also comes after head coach John Harbaugh told reporters after Friday’s preseason finale against the New York Jets that he believed Beckham had done enough to earn a spot on the roster.

The 33-year-old signed a one-year deal with New York during the offseason and has not appeared in a regular-season game since 2024 with the Miami Dolphins. Beckham was drafted 12th overall by the Giants during the 2014 NFL Draft and quickly became one of the league’s most exciting wide receivers.

But after a string of controversial comments and moments, the Giants traded Beckham to the Cleveland Browns during the 2018-2019 offseason. Beckham, however, lasted just 2.5 seasons with the Browns, was released by Cleveland during the 2021 season, and later joined the Los Angeles Rams, scoring a touchdown and helping the Rams win Super Bowl LVI. Beckham wound up tearing his ACL during the game, keeping him out for all of the 2022 season.

Beckham would wind up stringing together a couple of lackluster seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and the aforementioned Dolphins, which kept him out of the entire 2025 campaign.

The wideout is now looking to prove that he has enough left in the tank to help the Giants return to the playoffs for the first time in four years.

In some significant roster moves, Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reported that fellow wide receiver Darius Slayton has made the 53-man roster. New York, however, released former first-round pick Evan Neal, according to Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record and wideout Jalin Hyatt has also been let go, according to Connor Hughes of SNY.
