The New York Giants held onto arguably their most-important free agent of this offseason when they and right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor came to terms on a three-year deal reportedly worth $39M before the start of the new league year on Wednesday.
During a Tuesday appearance on the FanDuel TV "Up & Adams" program, Eluemunor offered quite a prediction regarding what Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart will be as a second-year pro.
"I truly think he's going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this upcoming season," Eluemunor said about Dart.
Dart hasn't simply been relaxing during the first full offseason of his young pro career. It was previously revealed that he spoke with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce about former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, who now holds that job with the Giants under new head coach John Harbaugh.
On Tuesday, Eluemunor shared how special it was to hear from Dart earlier in the offseason about how much the signal-caller wanted the 31-year-old to re-up with the Giants.
"You don't know what he's going to do back there," Eluemunor said about blocking for the often-creative Dart. "But at the same time, you know if you block for as long as you need to, he's going to go and scramble around...and just make the craziest plays. There were so many plays last year where I'm blocking, I have no idea what's going on. And then see Dart run for 20, 30 yards."

Eluemunor recently made it known that he feels he is the best right tackle in the league. On Tuesday, he had an opportunity to address that topic.
"I think I'm the best right tackle in the league," he repeated , this time while referencing stats mentioned by show host Kay Adams. Eluemunor also acknowledged that he knows "more eyes" will be examining his work now that he has agreed to such a lucrative deal to stay with the Giants.
If Dart truly does become one of the NFL's best quarterbacks later this year, Eluemunor could earn the first Pro Bowl nod of his career.
