The Kansas City Chiefs are set to begin their revenge tour on Friday, as they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil. The team is looking to avenge their Super Bowl 59 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. After the season-opener, the Chiefs will take on the Eagles in a rematch at Arrowhead Stadium.

Chiefs fans will hope the team can get off to a 2-0 start to the season. But there could very well be a trap game coming up early on in the schedule, and that's the New York Giants.

On Tuesday, the Giants revealed their unofficial depth chart for their season-opening game against the Washington Commanders, and rookie first-round pick Jaxon Dart is listed as the QB2 behind Russell Wilson.

Chiefs could see Jaxson Dart in Week 3 vs. Giants.

Let's provide some background. The Giants didn't waste any time in naming Wilson the starting quarterback early on in training camp. The plan had always been to let Dart, the first-round pick out of Ole Miss, develop on the sidelines and in the quarterback room. But then the preseason happened, where Dart looked extremely comfortable in in-game situations.

This preseason, Dart completed 32-of-47 pass attempts for 372 yards and three touchdowns in the Giants' three games against the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and New England Patriots. Even when under pressure, Dart thrived, completing 7-of-12 pass attempts for 147 yards and a touchdown, according to Pro Football Focus.

Let's face it, the Giants are in a unique position. Head coach Brian Daboll needs to win games to keep his job. If Wilson struggles early on in the season, then it wouldn't be shocking to see Daboll pivot to Dart as the starter.

That's all well and good for them, but the Chiefs are the Chiefs. As long as Patrick Mahomes is healthy, the Chiefs have a high chance of winning. Plus, the Chiefs' defense could make an NFL debut miserable for Dart, considering the Giants' offensive line is far from stout, and will have Chris Jones and George Karlaftis chasing after him at full speed unblocked

Sure, this has the makings of a trap game for the Chiefs, but their chances of winning are still high, no matter who the quarterback is for the Giants.
