Russell Wilson is currently playing in his first season with the New York Giants.

Wilson joined the Giants in the postseason after spending one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran quarterback also previously played for the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.

While Wilson was seen as the starter heading into the season, he was eventually replaced by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.

As Wilson serves as the backup for the Giants, he took part in the NFL's Week 12 "My Cause, My Cleats," campaign. NFL players across the league use the playing week to showcase a cause, usually near and dear to them.

Many times they represent their own foundations, like Russell Wilson decided to do with the "Why Not You Foundation."

"Why Not You!?" Wilson said. "My Cause My Cleats! @WhyNotYouFDN All things are Possible through God! @Ciara & I are so grateful to be able to inspire the next generation of youth! Thanks @NFL & @NYGiants."

Russell Wilson runs the "Why Not You Foundation" with his wife, singer and songwriter, Ciara. The two have been active in helping the youth during Wilson's career, with several drives such as toys during Christmas time and school supplies ahead of the school year.

Russell Wilson's cleats for the New York Giants' matchup against the Detroit Lions featured the "Why Not You" quote with Wilson's signature emblem and several cartoon drawing of kids to showoff the true meaning of the foundation.
