Giants' Barkley leaves game with apparent ankle injury

Saquon Barkley had a big day in the New York Giants’ game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but it unfortunately ended on a sour note.

Barkley left the game late in the fourth quarter after he suffered an apparent lower leg injury. The star running back’s leg folded awkwardly underneath him when he was tackled on a run up the middle.

Barkley was unable to put much weight on his right leg as he was helped off the field. He then looked extremely frustrated when he was shown sitting on the sideline.

That reaction is not a good sign. Barkley was later seen having his ankle taped.

The Giants trailed 28-7 midway through the third quarterback but came all the way back to beat Arizona, 31-28. Barkley played a big role in the comeback. He finished with 92 total scrimmage yards and two touchdowns.
