Giants Send Clear Message After Multiple Quarterback Workouts Ahead of NFL Draft
Danielle Parhizkaran/NorthJersey.com / USA TODAY NETWORK

The New York Giants have made some interesting moves leading up to the NFL Draft that kicks off on April 24, scheduling visits with players of multiple positions.

With this being said, New York has scheduled meetings with another group of prospects, but they are all labeled at the same position – quarterback.

Fox Sports insider Jordan Schultz informed X on Tuesday that multiple candidates are scheduling private workouts with the Giants.

"The Giants are wrapping up the draft process with a quarterback blitz — scheduling private workouts with Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, and Louisville’s Tyler Shough, just over a week before the draft, per sources." Schultz took to social media.

It's an interesting move by New York, who holds the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft – a potentially tricky spot with Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Colorado's multi-tool prospect Travis Hunter projected to go within the first few picks.

The Giants' decision to schedule quarterback workouts may seem logical with their situation, despite signing Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in Free agency.

It could also be seen as a publicity play for teams in the quarterback market – teams like the Raiders, Saints and Steelers are all linked to first round quarterback interest.

It's also interesting to note that the Giants didn't reach out to other quarterback prospects like Ole Miss's Jaxson Dart or Ohio State's Will Howard – two prospects that are also projected to be picked early this year.

Another possible shake-up could be for a team to trade into a better position and select a top quarterback, as this is the closest we have been to an NFL Draft where teams haven't made a trade involving first-round picks since 1993.

With plenty of quarterback talent, the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft can be one for the history books.
