Chandler Martin signed with the Eagles in March before being waived and quickly re-joining the team. The second-year linebacker wound up being cut once again in June, though, leading to a longer free agent spell.

Martin has now lined up his next gig, however. A one-year contract with the Giants has been lined up, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. Martin played for the Ravens last season, making him the latest to reunite with head coach John Harbaugh in New York. Martin’s deal is now official, and he is on the field for today’s practice.

An undrafted free agent addition following the 2025 draft, Martin did not survive roster cuts last summer. He nevertheless remained in place with the Ravens by joining their practice squad. The Memphis product would up seeing time in three games over the course of the season, contributing on special teams along the way.

Martin’s rookie season came to an abrupt end when he suffered an ACL tear. His recovery process included time with the Eagles in the spring but had not been completed at that point. Per Schefter, though, the 23-year-old has now received full medical clearance. Martin will aim to carve out a special teams role at the end of the roster through the remainder of training camp and the Giants’ two remaining preseason games.

In a corresponding move, the Giants have announced (h/t Dan Duggan of The Athletic) running back Dante Miller has been waived with an injury designation. Miller recently suffered a groin injury, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network adds. He is set to revert to injured reserve upon clearing waivers. The running back spot was already in focus earlier today thanks to the news of Najee Harris‘ free agent visit. It will be interesting to see if this Miller news sparks a backfield addition on the part of the Giants.
