Giants WR Jalin Hyatt Named "Pepsi Offensive Rookie of the Week"
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

New York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, fresh off his first career 100-yar receiving game, was voted the Pepsi Offensive Rookie of the Week for Week 12.

Hyatt caught five of his six pass targets for 109 yards in the Giants; 10-7 win over the New England Patriots last weekend, receptions that included a long of 41 yards. Hyatt is the first Giants player to record 100 receiving yards since Wan’Dale Robinson did so against the Lions on November 20, 2022.

Two other of Hyatt's receptions--those of 29 and 22 yards--were among the team's three longest played (along with the 41-yarder) of the day. Hyatt also became the first Giants receiver with at least three 20 or more yards receptions since 2021.

Hyatt, the Giants' third-round draft pick this year, now has 330 receiving yards, third most on the team behind team leader Darius Slayton (435) and tight end Darren Waller (384). Hyatt's' 19.4 average yards per reception leads all Giants receivers (including tight ends and running backs).

Hyatt's three receptions of 40+ yards also ties him with several others for fifth-most in the league.

Hyatt is the third Giants rookie to be nominated for the Rookie of the Week award this season, joining quarterback Tommy DeVito (Week 11)} and cornerback Deonte Banks (Week 7). Both Hyatt and DeVito have won the honors.

Hyattbeat out quarterback C.J. Stroud (Houston), running back Bijan Robinson (Atlanta), receiver Zay Flowers (Baltimore), receiver Rashee Rice (Kansas City), and defensive lineman Kobie Turner (Rams) for this week's honors.
