Grading every trade Howie Roseman has made for Eagles three rounds into 2025 NFL Draft

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is king of trades when it comes to the draft, and he has already cooked up three over the first two days of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Below, we'll take a quick look at the trades Roseman has orchestrated through Rounds 1 to 3, so far.

Round 1: Eagles Trade Up One Spot From No. 32 Overall

In the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Roseman traded up with the Kansas City Chiefs from No. 32 overall to No. 31.

The Eagles also sent their fifth-round pick to KC.

Roseman did this to ensure they would land Alabama linebacker/edge Jihaad Campbell, and it was well worth it given the massive upside of the pick.

Campbell (6-foot-2 and 235 pounds) entered the draft as a projected top-15 pick, and the Eagles landed him at No. 31 overall.

In his final season at Alabama, Campbell emerged as one of college football's premier linebackers, leading the Crimson Tide defense with 117 total tackles, including a team-high 54 solo stops. He also recorded 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception. His standout performances earned him first-team All-SEC honors and semifinalist nods for both the Bednarik and Butkus Awards.

Campbell's ability to play off-ball linebacker and rush the passer will be huge for defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and give him more defensive schemes to draw up.

Eagles Day 1 Trade Grade: A

Round 3: Eagles Trade Back Twice on Day 2

After trading up on Day 1, the Eagles traded back twice on Day 2 in the third round.

Philly traded the 96th pick to the Atlanta Falcons for their 101st selection and a 2026 fifth-round pick.

But instead of sticking with that pick, the Eagles traded back once more with the Denver Broncos. The Eagles gave Denver their 101st and 134th picks for the 111th, 130th, and 191st overall picks.

That means Roseman and the Eagles with six draft picks left on the last day of the draft.

Philly still has several needs to address, though there is nothing too pressing, since they already added to their pass rush in the first round and filled the void left by CJ Gardner Johnson in the second round.

The reason for the Eagles trading back suggests that Roseman didn't like the talent on the board enough to use a third-round pick on them, or he is stacking more picks for something more.

Either way, Roseman is a man we can trust.
