No one wants to coach the Cleveland Browns.
On Monday morning, Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski, believed to be among the finalists for Cleveland's open head coaching position, became the latest candidate to tell the Browns "thanks, but no thanks."
Per Dianna Russini, Udinski removed himself from consideration for Cleveland's opening.
Udinski is, reportedly, at least the fifth candidate to willingly avoid coaching the Browns. He joins the Rams' Chris Shula, new Giants head coach John Harbaugh, new Ravens head coach Jesse Minter and former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel.

Cleveland's offense finished the 2025 campaign 31st in scoring and 30th in yards per game, passing yards per game and rushing yards per game. That offense was of course navigated by signal callers Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
How could any potential head coach not jump at the opportunity to steer such a powerful offense? You also get the added bonus of Deshaun Watson returning from injury to join the QB room prior to next fall.
Of course, prior to coaching up any QBs or the rest of the orange helmets, head coaching candidates need to complete their homework assignments.
Based on this coaching search, the Browns won't need to worry about handing out grades until next semester.
