Green Bay Announces Expected Attendance For 2025 NFL Draft

The city of Green Bay is reportedly expecting a massive amount of fans to make the pilgrimage to Titletown for this week's NFL Draft.

Despite the Wisconsin city being far and away the smallest market in the league, The Athletic estimates that attendance for this year's event will surpass more than a quarter of a million people.

Per Packers beat writer Matt Schneidman, the league is prepared to host upwards of 250,000 people in Packer Land starting April 24 — more than double the amount of citizens that actually live in the city according to the last census.

The local airport reportedly only has 12 gates and 5,000 hotel rooms, so accommodations may be hard to come by with many of those being reserved for NFL personnel and vendors.

Packers president Mark Murphy said he was hoping fans would be able to travel into the Midwestern city by rail — instead of thousands of people driving in and out of the downtown and taking up parking.

"I'm disappointed. I was hoping we'd get train service from Milwaukee," Murphy admitted to Schneidman. "It is kind of ridiculous that the National Railroad Museum is in Green Bay and we don't have train service."

Regardless, its still been an exciting time for the league and its fans since taking the draft on the road. Prior to moving the event around to different NFL towns, the draft almost always took place in New York.

Last year, more than 775,000 people reportedly traveled to the Motor City to take in the three days of football festivities. We'll see if fans can break the peak of 275,000 set by Green Bay's NFC North rival.
