Green Bay Gets Three on 22-Player NFL All-Breakout Team

Offensive guard Jordan Morgan

The Packers drafted Jordan Morgan 25th overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The guard didn't see much playing time as a rookie due to a shoulder injury he suffered during training camp. He played in six games and made one start before being placed on injured reserve.

Brooks has Morgan listed as a right guard, what he played most during the 2024 season, but the second-year player could play left tackle as well.

"[Morgan] does have quick feet and active hands, which should help him keep Jordan Love upright in the pocket," Brooks wrote. "If the franchise quarterback enjoys a banner season, there's a good chance the second-year blocker will have played a major role in his success, presumably as either Love's blindside protector or as a trench warrior at the point of attack."

Defensive end Lukas Van Ness

Lukas Van Ness, a third-year player drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has seven sacks over his two pro seasons. Brooks, though, believes that more opportunities in the 2025 season should result in more production. In 2024, he had 22 solo and 11 assists for 33 total tackles, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

"Whether he is attacking from the edges as a full-time starter or creating chaos as a designated playmaker in a sub-package, Van Ness possesses the size, tools and experience to turn his flashes into disruptive production this fall," Brooks wrote.

Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper

Edgerrin Cooper is the last Packer to make Brooks' All-Breakout Team. He was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The linebacker had 87 total attacks (57 solo, 30 assists) in the 2024 regular season and 3.5 sacks. He also had one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one interception.

"Cooper is a rare find as a downhill 'backer with the speed, quickness and agility to match tight ends and running backs in space, while possessing the power, pop and wiggle to wreak havoc on blitzes," Brooks wrote. "The second-year pro could be in line for more accolades as a designated playmaker in [defensive coordinator] Jeff Hafley's 'see ball, get ball' defense."

Green Bay's training camp is set to start Wednesday, July 23.
