Green Bay Packers 2025 Official Schedule

We are one step closer to the start of the 2025 NFL season. The Green Bay Packers 2025 official schedule has been released. The level of difficulty only increases as the season progresses for the Packers.

Opening against Detroit at home is challenging, however, this is the first time the Packers have opened at home since 2018. This game provides an opportunity for Green Bay to secure a week one NFC North victory.

After last season, they need all the NFC North wins they can get. The Packers were a fingertip away from finishing 0-6 in the division. In order to be a legitimate playoff threat, the Packers need to assert themselves and show the urgency.

Green Bay has a quick turnaround in week 2, as they take on Washington on Thursday September 11th. Not a ton of rest between their opener on September 7th. The bye week comes pretty early this year, as the Packers will have an early rest in week 5.

In comparison, Chicago’s bye week is week 5, Minnesota’s is week 6 and Detroit’s is week 8. As always, health is extremely important, but the back half of the schedule will require the Packers to be at their healthiest.

The Packers will have their rematch against the Super Bowl Champs in week 10. Have they improved enough to take down the juggernaut of the NFL? Despite having the best “loss” to the Eagles in the playoffs in 2024, here lies another opportunity to prove how legit the Packers want to be.

Weeks 12-18 are full of NFC North matchups. The Packers will play at home against Minnesota (week 12), followed by an away game in Detroit (week 13) and then return home to take on the Bears (week 14). The matchup against Detroit is actually a Thanksgiving Day matchup. Can the Packers secure the turkey leg?

The Packers then travel to Denver to face a young Broncos team. The Bears await again the next week, followed by the Ravens.

The Packers will end their regular season with a trip to Minnesota. As previously stated, and stressed, the back half of the season is a test. The Bears are a much-improved team and were literally a fingertip away from sweeping the Packers last season. Minnesota is always a tossup for Green Bay and will likely continue to be given the additions on the trenches they added this offseason.

Hopefully a lot will be different for Green Bay this season. The majority of this upcoming season rides on the health of Jordan Love as it was evident in 2024 that he was never back to full strength after injuring his knee week one against Philadelphia. The depth on defensive side of the ball is not ideal, all the more reason to argue that health is one of the most important factors for the 2025 season.

The Packers added some help to both sides of the ball during free agency and the draft. Are the coaching changes and player additions enough to make the Packers a contender? Will the Packers reclaim the NFC North? Health and urgency can get Green Bay there.
