The Green Bay Packers are continuing to make moves as training camp is set to begin. Green Bay is looking to improve their offense in 2025, but it starts with the offensive line up front. According to Jordan Schultz, the Green Bay Packers and offensive tackle Zach Tom have agreed to a new deal. His new contract extension is said to be the highest for an offensive lineman in recent years.
Sources: The #Packers and OT Zach Tom have agreed to a 4-year, $88M extension, worth up to $92M.

As the Packers are shuffling their offensive line for 2025, this guarantees that Zach Tom will be with the organization for a while. The offensive tackle has signed a four-year deal worth up to $88 million. Along with the maximum amount, he will receive a $30.2 million signing bonus. This makes his new deal one of the highest paid contracts for an offensive lineman in NFL history.
The Green Bay Packers offense had trouble scoring when it counted last season in 2024. Specifically, in the red zone with opportunities to win games that mattered. Bringing back one of the team’s best offensive run/pass protectors is a huge boost for the team on the offensive side of the ball.
Changes to be made to the offensive line include Elgton Jenkins moving to the center spot. Meanwhile, incoming free agent Aaron Banks will be stepping in at left guard for the Green Bay Packers.
In the passing game, Packers quarterback Jordan Love will have two young receivers after drafting Matthew Golden in the 2025 NFL Draft and signing Will Sheppard to the team on Monday. Veteran pass catchers Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Christian Watson will want to continue producing at their same positions.
With training camp starting, the extension of Zach Tom will give him some early reps and preparation for the 2025 season as it starts in early September. Keep on the lookout for more moves to be made as the new season approaches for the Green Bay Packers.
