Green Bay Packers Clinch Final Playoff Seed in NFC
Mark Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers had a pivotal game in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears. Green Bay was in a position where they had to win to get into the postseason. Well, the Packers were able to make a statement in Week 18.

Green Bay Packers Defeat Chicago Bears 17-9

The first half of this game was a tight contest. Leading just 7-6 at halftime, there was some doubt as to whether the Green Bay Packers would hold on against the Chicago Bears. Sure enough, their defense came up big for them.

That is because the Packers limited the Bears to just three points in the second half. On top of this, a 12-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love to Dontayvion Wicks gave the Packers the separation they needed. They went on to win the game by the final score of 17-9.

Green Bay Packers Clinch a Playoff Spot

Because of this win, the Green Bay Packers have now clinched a playoff spot. They also did this in historical fashion. The Packers are the youngest team since 1977 to make the playoffs.

So, who are they playing? Part of this depended on how the Los Angeles Rams did in their game against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Rams came up with a surprising road win. As a result, the Packers earned the seventh seed. Green Bay will go on the road to take on the Dallas Cowboys.
