The Green Bay Packers are hoping to get back in the win column on Sunday Night Football when they take on the Dallas Cowboys for their Week Four matchup. After their embarrassing loss to the Cleveland Browns last week, Green Bay is hopeful for a better showing on the road at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, a place where they have never lost. Additionally, the Packers are 9-1 in their last 10 games against the Cowboys.
Of course, the return of Micah Parsons to his old stomping grounds is a major story surrounding the matchup, especially considering the comments that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made this week about his former star. The fact that Dallas will be without two of their starting offensive linemen has only fueled the belief that Parsons may have his best game of the season on Sunday night.
Unfortunately for the Packers, however, they have their own injury issues on the offensive line as well, and will be without two starters of their own, as well as their primary backup.
Going into the 2025 NFL season, the Packers offensive line was believed to be one of the team’s greatest strengths. However, it has turned out to be one of their most glaring weaknesses, and injuries surely have not helped.
Right tackle Zach Tom, who signed a massive $88 million extension before the season began, hurt his oblique in Week One. After missing Week Two, he tried to play through the injury against the Browns, but dropped out of the game after just a single snap.
He will not play on Sunday against Dallas either.
Additionally, Aaron Banks, the starting left guard who was signed for $77 million in free agency, has been battling injuries ever since training camp. A back injury kept him out in the preseason, while ankle and groin injuries have limited his snaps in the regular season.
He will not play on Sunday either.
And to make matter worse, rookie tackle Anthony Belton hurt his ankle in practice on Wednesday this week and has been ruled out against the Cowboys.
If the name Lecitus Smith is familiar to Packers fans, it is because he is in the midst of his third stint with the team despite this being just his fourth year in NFL. A former sixth-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals, he has appeared in 18 regular season games, both with Arizona and the New England Patriots.
However, he spent training camp with Green Bay in 2024 and 2025, and was signed by the Packers to be on their practice squad after they released him when they trimmed the roster to 53 after the preseason.
Despite having spent much time with the organization, Smith has never appeared in a game for the Packers. That could change on Sunday, though, as Green Bay has elevated him to the active roster for their game against the Cowboys:

An interior offensive lineman, Smith likely will not start as the Packers will have Sean Rhyan at right guard and Jordan Morgan filling in at left guard. Darian Kinnard, a three-time Super Bowl champion, is expected to start in place of Tom at right tackle.
