Green Bay Packers star quarterback Jordan Love’s life has been consumed by football, especially since taking over as the team’s No. 1 option under center following the departure of former franchise face Aaron Rodgers.
But long before he took his talents to the NFL and became a star signal-caller for the Packers, Love was enjoying the nurturing care of his father, Orbin Love. However, Orbin was not able to see his son’s NFL dream. He was not around to witness Love become a star for the Utah State Aggies football. Orbin died when Love was just 14 years old when Orbin took his own life.
Although Orbin is gone, he remains a vivid figure in Love’s memory.
“All the memories I had with him, all the great times I had. None of that is gonna be forgotten,” Love said of his father (via The Players Tribune’s Instagram account).
