The Green Bay Packers need to address the interior defensive line position regardless of whether they run a 4-3 or 3-4 scheme under Jonathan Gannon in 2025. Colby Wooden’s trade to the Indianapolis Colts weakened their depth, while Devonte Wyatt is coming off a season-ending lower leg injury, and Jordon Riley is recovering from a season-ending Achilles injury. The Packers are currently projected to select a defensive tackle with the 52nd pick, but could use one or two more depth pieces.

According to Adam Schefter, the Packers have signed Javon Hargrave to a two-year, $23 million contract, reuniting with Jonathan Gannon. The Vikings cut the two-time Pro Bowl on Wednesday after attempting to trade him for weeks. Hargrave aims to return to his 2022 form, when he recorded a career-high 12 sacks, including the playoffs, in his final season with Gannon in Philadelphia.

The San Francisco 49ers signed Javon Hargrave to a four-year, $84 million contract in 2023. He enjoyed a strong inaugural season with San Francisco, totaling 54 tackles, nine TFLs, 64 pressures, 15 quarterback hits, and eight sacks across 19 starts, earning his second Pro Bowl selection. Hargrave suffered a season-ending partially torn triceps in Week 3 of 2023, and the 49ers released him last offseason.

The Minnesota Vikings signed Javon Hargrave to a two-year, $30 million contract last March. He had a decent 2025 campaign, though he posted the fewest sack totals in 2017 (excluding 2023). Hargrave recorded 52 tackles, four TFLs, 31 pressures, six quarterback hits, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble across 16 games.
