Green Bay Packers Need To 'Cheese Up' On The Field

The Green Bay Packers were b******* and moaning while attempting to outlaw one play. In one of the weakest responses to a playoff loss ever displayed since football was created, the Packers amended their 2025 Playing Rule Proposal No. 5. There was a revised proposal to ban the “Tush Push” in football, a game of inches.

In 2018, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr engineered the outline of the greatest short yardage play in NFL history. Recently extended Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni modified Barr’s idea and mixed in aspects of the infamous Reggie Bush Push. Resulting in the Eagles revolutionizing the quarterback sneak.

The quarterback initiates the play, riding the momentum of his center or guards forward for a short gain. With more deliberate schematic assistance, the Eagles successfully executed the tush push at 93% in 2022, 83% in 2023, and 81.3% in 2024. As the years progress, NFL defenses and defensive coordinators are adapting to the play and finding ways to counter it. So why is there such an outcry to ban it?

Sore losers and crybabies…

Is the Packers organization full of haters or did they forget what football is all about? Packers President Mark Murphy is the biggest hater. Why is he constantly whining and complaining? The Packers started their season by losing to the Eagles 34-29 and ended their season losing to the Eagles 22-10 at Lincoln Financial Field. Murphy’s team suffered embarrassment during the playoffs. Jumping offsides on the line so many times, an NFL referee threatened to award the Eagles free points. Most importantly, he knows he can’t beat the Eagles and is seeking ways to weaken them.

Running to the committee to change a rule banning short yardage plays is some of the most gutless, heartless, sorry excuses for an absence of competitive fire seen in a long time.

Football remains a game for men, particularly young men. It used to be marked as the toughest, most physical professional sport to play. It demands both mental and physical strength, constant preparation, and the ability to read and recognize situations quickly.

Never in all my ears…

“To be the man, you have to beat the man!” – Ric Flair

“The superior man blames himself. The inferior man blames others.” – Don Shula

“We believe that being elite has nothing to do with how talented you are. It’s about how tough you are. To achieve anything great in life, you have to fight for it.” – Urban Meyer

“If you can’t run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.” – John Madden

“There are no medals for trying. This isn’t like eighth grade, where everyone gets a trophy. We are in a professional sport and it is competitive to win. That’s what we do.” – Bill Belichick

One aspect that defies quantification is heart. Not believing in your capabilities must be a horrible admission of failure. At this point in the offseason, he would be better served to tell his coaching staff they better beat the Eagles in 2025. Their jobs depend on it. But change the rules?

Everyone claims to have it while things are good, but real heart is shown when things aren’t going well. This is when you are compelled to reflect internally and discover a solution. Disappointment should ignite one’s desire, work ethic, and concentration. Increasing the intensity of your work leads to the highest point of achievement.

Every team loses games on the path to the top; it’s how champions are formed. There has been only one undefeated team in NFL history, the ‘72 Dolphins. If the Packers aren’t focused on becoming the best versions of themselves because of the Tush Push, then they have more problems than the stupid rule proposal.
