Green Bay Packers OC Names 1 Player He Is Excited To Have Back In 2025
- Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (88) makes a reception during the third quarter of their game Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. The Green Bay Packers beat the New Orleans Saints 18-17.

The Green Bay Packers’ offense was a roller coaster last season. Josh Jacobs was one of the best running backs in the league, and quarterback Jordan Love continued to make big-time throws. However, drops and sloppy execution stalled too many drives. It didn’t hurt them against the bottom feeders of the league. Those mistakes hurt them when it mattered most. They lost twice to the Eagles, Vikings, and Lions last season as they couldn’t find their rhythm when it mattered most. Packers’ offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich spoke at a recent press conference about ways to improve and named one player he is extremely excited to have back.

Green Bay Packers OC Excited To Have Young TE Back

In the 2023 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers doubled up on the tight end position. They took Luke Musgrave in the second round and Tucker Kraft in the third round. Kraft emerged this year partly because Musgrave dealt with injuries, keeping him out for most of the season. While his absence was mitigated by Kraft’s play, Stenavich talked about what having both on the field would do for the play-action game.

“I think having Luke Musgrave back is going to help us in 12 personnel. You can do a lot of good stuff out of 12 personnel as far as the play-action game. And then just his juice and speed down the field is another area of our offense we’ve kind of scratched the surface on. Having more tight ends available just helps you just as far as blocking on the edge.

When you put your tight ends one-on-one with the defensive end in a lot of play-passes, that’s not a good situation a lot of times. Tucker Kraft does a good job, but now, if you can have another tight end and kind of double-team the guy, then that makes it a little easier to get the ball down the field obviously.”

The Green Bay Packers could have one of the best play-action games in the NFL in 2025. Jacobs will keep teams honest, but having both tight ends on the field gives the offense versatility. If the Packers do run the ball, both tight ends are in to provide more blocking. If they decide to throw, both players have shown they can make big plays in the open field. It makes sense that Stenavich is excited to have the young tight end back on the field.

Final Thoughts

The Green Bay Packers offense has plenty to prove in 2025. It was a down year for the unit last year, especially in the passing game. Can Love and the offense rebound in 2025 and reclaim the NFC North crown?
