Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love Isn’t Shy About His Bold Goal For 2024 Season

A year ago, Jordan Love was somewhat of an enigma for the Green Bay Packers heading into the team’s first season post-Aaron Rodgers. Now, the 25-year-old quarterback is setting his sights on the sport’s most significant hardware.

Love was one of the breakout stars of the 2023 season. Despite some shaky stretches in his first season as the Packers’ full-time starter, he ended the season strong enough to have the entire fan base behind him.

Love led Green Bay to a resounding playoff win, completely dismantling the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round. But he wants more than just a postseason victory in Year 2 as QB1.

Love appeared on Friday’s episode of “The Pivot Podcast” to discuss a host of different topics — including his outlook for 2024.

Love expressed the utmost confidence in the Packers’ roster and organization. He believes that the team is built to compete for the Lombardi Trophy as early as next season.

“We’re all very hungry for this upcoming year,” Love said on The Pivot Podcast, via NFL.com’s Bobby Kownack. “The confidence from top to bottom is there. The organization believes that it’s the perfect time to have a chance to win a Super Bowl this year. Those conversations we had after the 49ers game were, man, work harder. Try and find ways to get better because next year we’re gonna do it.

“There’s no more, ‘We’re a young team.’ There’s no more of those what ifs,” he said. “People know what we’re about now. Obviously, we’ll have that target on our back. People want to beat us. We’re hungry. I know everybody in that locker room is hungry and ready to get back.

Love added that Green Bay’s offseason moves signal that the team is fully committed to competing. The Packers added standout safety Xavier McKinney and replaced outgoing running back Aaron Jones with former All-Pro Josh Jacobs.

With Love and his young receivers such as Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Christian Watson all getting another year of experience under their belt, the Packers’ offense could be sneaky dangerous next season.

Love was already impressive in his first season of real action. He threw for 4,159 yards with 32 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. But beyond the numbers, it was his poise that started to shine through later into the season.

The Packers closed out the regular season 6-2 with Love looking completely locked in during that second half of the campaign. He threw 18 touchdowns and just one interception during that entire run. If Love’s second-half and playoff performances were a sign of things to come, the Packers could very well enter Super Bowl conversations as early as next year
