In 2022, Fox Sports signed Tom Brady to a 10-year, $375 million contract to become their lead NFL game analyst following his retirement.

The deal stands as the most lucrative in the history of sports broadcasting. Brady retired after the 2022 season and took a year off before joining Fox's top broadcast team in 2024, alongside play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion’s move to Fox’s top broadcast team led to Greg Olsen, the network’s former lead analyst, being reassigned to the No. 2 team. The change came with a significant pay cut, dropping his salary from $10 million to $3 million, and removing him from the broadcast crew for championship games and Super Bowls.

Olsen was interviewed on the "Ross Tucker Podcast" on Tuesday morning and spoke about a variety of topics, including his relationship with Brady.

“Tom and I have a really good personal relationship, a really good professional relationship," said Olsen. "We've hung out and played golf together. We talk on the phone about raising teenage daughters and things that we share in common. So there's no animosity towards Tom. Obviously, that was a unique situation, the way it all played out, and I get it. My aspirations are still calling top games – I've been very clear about – and how that all transpires, who knows?  But, I enjoy doing this profession.”

Olsen was a 14-year NFL veteran who played most of his career for the Carolina Panthers, with whom he made three Pro Bowls. He retired from football in 2020 and made the transition to FOX's leading color commentator role the following year.

Since Brady's deal was made, both he and Olsen have maintained an amicable relationship, with mutual respect for each other.

Speaking on "The Pat McAfee Show" prior to the 2024 Super Bowl, Brady was highly complimentary of Olsen.

“Greg’s done an incredible job," he said.  "I have so much respect for him, how he approaches his job. I think he does an incredible job every time he’s on. I love listening to him."

Olsen has two years remaining on his contract with Fox. In January, Brady's longtime agent, Don Yee, stated that his client plans to fulfill the remaining nine years of his contract with Fox.
