Troy Aikman is rumored to be leaving Fox Sports, and the network already has a interesting list of reported candidates to fill his chair.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reported this week that Fox Sports is eyeing several noteworthy candidates to replace Aikman on their No. 1 broadcast team. Marchand says that the network is considering its No. 2 analyst, former Carolina Panthers star Greg Olsen, as well as ex-New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton.

The report also lists Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay and San Francisco 49ers GM John Lynch as wild cards and even says Fox could try to trade for former Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who is a studio analyst for NBC.

Olsen and Payton sound like the likelier picks. The former debuted last year as a color commentator and studio analyst for Fox, while the latter just left his longtime gig as Saints coach and seems to want to stay close to the NFL.

Aikman, who had been with Fox since 2001, is reportedly on the verge of leaving for a massive payday from a major competitor. But Fox definitely has options as it looks for a new broadcast partner to pair with Joe Buck.
