In the days before their game against the Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions defensive back Amik Robertson made it clear he wasn't backing down.

“They make plays. We have a lot of respect for those guys, but I just feel like, like I always say, 'Those guys are not us.' They’re great guys, but when I’m out there, I don’t worry about names," Robertson told reporters about Terry McLaurin and the bevy of weapons at Jayden Daniels' disposal. "I don’t worry about what you did last week or what you’ve done during the season, because it wasn’t on me.

"When I’m out there, I’m a highly competitive guy and I’m a guy that’s not gonna bow down. I know the secondary and those guys aren’t either, because at the end of the day, we’re in that one percent too that’s in the league. It’s gonna be a fun game, and it’s gonna be highly competitive.”

Unfortunately for Robertson, it doesn't seem like he'll have the chance to play the rest of the night following a horrific-looking arm injury. During the first quarter of Saturday night's game, Robertson appeared to suffer a devastating arm injury that sparked reaction from fans.

"I feel so bad for Amik Robertson Just two weeks ago he was a pivotal part of the Lions beating the Vikings. Had a great locker room speech too. Hoping he’s okay but that arm looks broken. Damn," one fan said.

"The Amik Robertson injury… I’m in disbelief. Unreal," said another.

"Hate to see that injury to Amik Robertson. Keeping him in our thoughts!" added a third.

Robertson helped the Lions put the clamps on Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson in the final week of the regular season as Detroit wrapped up the No. 1 seed. Just two weeks later, it looks like his season could be in jeopardy.
