The NFL docuseries “Hard Knocks” is set to return in 2025, featuring the Buffalo Bills during training camp. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement at the league meetings on Wednesday. The show will premiere on HBO Max on Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. ET. For “Hard Knocks,” the Bills haven’t appeared until now. Goodell also announced that the NFC East will be the focus of the in-season “Hard Knocks,” which will feature all four teams in the division. The in-season series is set to debut in December.
This offseason, a new set of rules for the show was implemented, increasing the number of clubs that can be selected, and the Bills were one of them. Teams that qualified for the playoffs in the previous two years were no longer allowed to opt out of participating, a rule that would have applied to the Bills, who have qualified for the playoffs six consecutive years.
St. John Fisher University will host the team’s training camp. According to ESPN Bet, Buffalo is favored in every game of their 2025 campaign, and Quarterback Josh Allen is coming off being named MVP. The team signed free agents Joshua Palmer and Joey Bosa this offseason, while General Manager Brandon Beane and Head Coach Sean McDermott will begin their eighth season together. There is much to see in this training camp edition of “Hard Knocks.” This season will also be the final one for the Bills to play in their current stadium.
“Hard Knocks,” which returns to the NFL this season, following the NFC East, will also return in 2025. It will debut in December and follow the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders, and the defending Super Bowl LIX winner, Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles aim to continue their dominance after winning the Super Bowl. Saquon Barkley and Quarterback Jalen Hurts led a potent offensive attack, and many want to see if this high-powered dynamic will continue. Many Super Bowl champions mention how hard it is to repeat as champions. Will the Eagles be up for the challenge?
The Cowboys aim to rebound from a disappointing 2024 campaign. The team is trying to regain its position as a contender under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer and Dak Prescott, who is recuperating from hamstring surgery. The newly acquired George Pickens adds more firepower to the offense. Pairing him with CeeDee Lamb will add to an explosive offense.
The Giants return for the in-season edition of “Hard Knocks” following a turbulent offseason run on the hit series last year. The NFL is watching Head Coach Brian Daboll navigate his new quarterback room, following the offseason signings of Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Coupled with the drafting of Jaxson Dart. How will this quarterback situation play out?
With talented Quarterback Jayden Daniels at the helm, the Commanders hope to improve their performance in the NFC Championship Game. The season’s major focal points will center on the team’s growth and quest for consistency. Adding Deebo Samuel in the offseason means the Commanders are pushing for contention.
“Hard Knocks” 2025 will feature gripping stories about everything from the Buffalo Bills’ pursuit of a Super Bowl to the intense rivalry in the NFC East. As the series progresses, viewers will have unparalleled access to the victories and setbacks that characterize an NFL season, solidifying “Hard Knocks” status as a mainstay of the football narrative.
