In a now-viral moment, YouTube star and global streamer IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr., defeated fitness influencer and former HBCU football player Ashton Hall in a series of footraces.
The unexpected face-off occurred during a live stream, where the 20-year-old content creator outpaced Hall four times in a row. Hall, a former Alcorn State University running back known for his intense 4 a.m. fitness routines and viral motivational videos, entered the race with confidence, predicting Speed wouldn’t even be visible in the finish frame.
However, Speed dominated every round with ease, taunting Hall in his typical high-energy style. The competition heated up as Hall grew visibly frustrated, even confronting Speed after the third race.
Speed was leaving after winning all three races when Hall asked, “Why are you leaving?" To which Speed replied, "Because I beat you three times.” Speed later called the influencer "Ashton Fraud."
Despite the tension, Hall ultimately admitted defeat, saying he got “caught in the sauce.” The event came after a tense back-and-forth on Speed’s stream, where he challenged Hall to settle their differences on the track. Their clash not only entertained fans but also bridged the worlds of fitness coaching and online streaming in an unforgettable showdown.
This isn’t Speed’s first bold athletic challenge, as he previously raced Olympic champion Noah Lyles, nearly beating him despite several disadvantages. Speed remains ambitious, eyeing potential participation in the 2028 Olympics.
Known for his unpredictable stunts and limitless confidence, Speed continues to prove he’s more than just entertainment. He’s a true competitor, with this latest win only fueling his growing legend.
