HC John Harbaugh says second-year Raven is 'going to be a star'

With the Ravens in London ready to take on the Titans in Week 6, head coach John Harbaugh gave some praise to one of his international second-year players whose future he believes is very bright.

"[David Ojabo] went to Michigan, played for my brother [Jim Harbaugh] and now he's going to be a star in this league. There's no doubt about it," Harbaugh told reporters.

Ojabo was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and moved to Blairstown, New Jersey, at the age of 17 where he later began playing football.

"He was actually a basketball player," Harbaugh added. "He came over and the high school football coach said, 'You need to be playing football.' ...  He didn't even know what the sport was."

Ojabo had 36 tackles, 11 sacks and five forced fumbles in his final season at Michigan. He was then drafted by Baltimore in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

The 23-year-old showed flashes at the end of last season, making a strip sack in his NFL debut after spending the majority of his rookie year on injured reserve to recover from the Achilles injury he suffered in March.

The second-year linebacker hasn't been able to fully kick the injury bug as he landed back on injured reserve with an ankle injury at the end of September but is expected to be back sooner than later.

Ojabo has six tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in three games played in 2023. If he can get healthy, he certainly has the makings of being a difference-maker on the defensive side of the ball for the Ravens. Harbaugh clearly believes that is the case.
