Hendon Hooker gives his offensive linemen a Kobe Bryant-inspired Christmas gift
Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK

Detroit Lions quarterback Hendon Hooker hasn't worked much with his new offensive linemen teammates just yet -- the former Tennessee Vols standout was just recently activated from the IR list -- but that didn't stop him from providing a great gift for them.

Hooker gifted the Detroit offensive linemen a Kobe Bryant Nike destroyer jacket according to The Athletic's Colton Pouncy.

Hooker, a third round selection by the Lions in the 2023 NFL Draft, spent most of his rookie season recovering from the torn ACL he suffered near the end of the 2022 season.

With Lions backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater set to retire after the 2023 season, Hooker should emerge as the top backup option for the Lions in 2024. And depending on Jared Goff's long-term future with the team, Hooker could get a chance to be Detroit's franchise quarterback in the not-so-distant future.
