Henry Ruggs’ Prison Salary Revealed — You Won’t Believe How Much Money The Ex-Raiders WR Is Making In ‘The Slammer’

Henry Ruggs’ prison salary has been revealed following his transfer to a Nevada facility, not far from where he played home games.

Ruggs was making around $4.17 million a year on his rookie deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. The wide receiver signed a four-year deal worth $16.67 million after getting drafted as the No. 12 overall pick in 2020.

His contract included a reported $9.68 million signing bonus, per Spotrac.

Unfortunately, things went up in smoke, almost literally, after he was involved in a tragic accident in November 2021.

The 27-year-old ran into another car from the back at high speed in Spring Valley, killing 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog. The victims were burned to death while trapped in their vehicle.

Police subsequently charged Ruggs with driving under the influence and reckless driving.

He is currently serving a three-to-10-year sentence at a medium-security prison in Northern Nevada.

Henry Ruggs Is Making A Lot Less Than He’d Become Used To As An NFL Star

Ruggs was transferred from a minimum-security facility in Las Vegas in December 2025. The Nevada Department of Corrections reported as much back then but did not disclose why.

He’s now reportedly making $2.50 an hour at a prison camp but is up for parole in August.

Ruggs is also believed to be keeping fit for a potential return to football.

Meanwhile, former Alabama standout Kerry Goode is asking fans to send letters on Ruggs’ behalf ahead of his parole hearing.

“Thank you for believing in second chances,” Goode shared via social media earlier in April. “Many of you have expressed support for Henry Ruggs III, and I’m reaching out today to ask for your help in a way that can make a real difference in his life.”

Goode expects the letters to be reviewed and possibly sway the parole board.
