Mr. INT is back.

J.C. Jackson was already out on the field during Thursday's New England Patriots practice session. And he was in a new number.

While he wore No. 27 when he was in New England during his first stint, Myles Bryant currently holds that number so it appears Jackson went with the next closest. He was wearing No. 29, but it seemed he was still wearing his old helmet, with his former number on the side.

Here is the first look of J.C. Jackson with the Patriots:

And he even received a very warm welcome from Robert Kraft

Prior to Thursday's practice, Lawrence Guy confirmed to the media that Jackson was in the building. And he even showed up wearing a blazer.

Jackson was acquired by the Patriots from the on Wednesday in return for a late round pick.

The team was in need of additional depth at cornerback with many players injured including star rookie Christian Gonzalez. This could also mean Gonzalez might be out for a while.

This is his second stint with the Patriots, having began his career as an undrafted free agent with New England in 2018.

He won a Super Bowl with New England in 2018 and was named to the second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl in his final year with the Patriots.

Following the 2021 season, Jackson went to Chargers, signing a massive $82.5 million contract for five years.

So with that, it's clear that the Patriots got the better end of the deal after they worked with the Chargers to rework Jackson's remaining $9.33 million for the 2023 season. New England will only cover $1.5 million of it, while Los Angeles is responsible for the rest.

And with his familiarity in the system, fans could see Jackson out on the field as early as Sunday.
