Here's how the Eagles can clinch the NFC East title in Week 17
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles snapped themselves out of a three-game losing streak on Monday by beating the New York Giants, 33-25.

The win has them currently in control of the NFC East and still in the hunt for the top seed in the conference.

In fact, the Eagles can clinch the NFC East division title as soon as this Sunday.

There are two ways the Eagles can do that:

1. Eagles win + Cowboys loss or tie OR

2. Eagles tie + Cowboys loss

The Cowboys are set to face the Detroit Lions, who just won the NFC North title for the first time since 1993.

If Dallas wins instead, the Eagles can still win the NFC East as long as they win their final two games against Arizona and the New York Giants

A Cowboys win over Detroit also gives the Eagles a better shot at the No. 2 seed, which is way more likely than their slim chance at taking over the No. 1 seed from the San Francisco 49ers.

The Birds will know their fate way before their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Lions and Cowboys kicking off on Saturday night.
