Holland a Question Mark for Buffalo Game
USA TODAY Sports

Already without starting cornerback Xavien Howard, the Miami Dolphins now might also be without safety Jevon Holland in their Week 18 showdown against the Buffalo Bills.

The third-year standout was added to the injury report Saturday as questionable for the game that will decide the AFC East title because of the knee issues that forced him to miss four games.

Holland did play in the 56-19 loss against the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday, his first appearance since being injury in the Black Friday victory against the New York Jets.

Holland was a full participant in practice Friday after being limited the previous two days and did not get a game status designation.

He now becomes one of four players listed as questionable, along with RB Raheem Mostert, WR Jaylen Waddle and LB Jerome Baker. Considering Baker was activated off injured reserve Saturday, it's fair to assume he'll be in the lineup for the Buffalo game.

THE CONTINGENCY SAFETY PLANS FOR THE DOLPHINS SECONDARY

Fourth-year veteran Brandon Jones started at safety when Holland was out against the Commanders, Titans, Jets and Cowboys and likely will get the call again if Holland is out.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said the plan was to stick with Eli Apple as the outside cornerback in Howard's absence, with Kader Kohou remaining in the slot.

The Bills will have every player on their 53-man roster available, barring a late development, after starting center Mitch Morse was removed from the injury report. He had been listed as questionable after missing practice Friday with an illness.
