Hollywood Targeting Bills Star Josh Allen For Acting Roles

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is one of the most popular players in the NFL, and that popularity could lead to some opportunities for him off the field.

A new report from Life & Style says that executives in Hollywood think Allen could be the next sports star to transition into entertainment.

A source tells the magazine that Allen's engagement to actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld has only raised his profile.

“Even before he and Hailee became an item, Josh was emerging as one of Hollywood's most interesting football stars, especially for studio executives who are dismissive of the hype around Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship," the source said.

"Josh has the total package, from primetime worthy football highlights to matinee idol good looks, and Hailee has already managed to have a very impressive crossover career where she can effortlessly move from music to movies and back again.”

Steinfeld and Allen were engaged last November after the quarterback proposed, a little over a year since confirming that they were officially together.

While Kelce has been able to increase his visibility through podcasting and other media appearances, the goal for Allen seems to be acting, at least in the eyes of Hollywood higher-ups.

“She knows Josh is a catch and she's also been made aware of the heavy Hollywood interest in him,” the source added.

“Josh isn't somebody you turn into a cheesy game show host or reality star, he's a guy you can put into the kind of big movies that Hailee has been making since she was a little kid.”

For now, Allen is working hard at his day job and doing well. He's a candidate to win the MVP award for the first time in his career this season, and he just led the Bills on another deep playoff run. Allen has a lot more football left in his career, but the source believes it may only be the start.

“They're an especially great match because both of them are extremely level-headed and relentlessly focused on the long game," they said about Allen and Steinfeld.

"This relationship isn't a flash in the pan, they're planning on turning this into a healthy marriage and starting a family together, and when Josh is ready, the gates of Hollywood are going to open up for him, big time.”

For now, we'll continue to watch Allen on the field for the Buffalo Bills.
