The Houston Texans just got one of the best players in the NFL at his position, and it feels like no one is talking about it.
Free agency was crazy, and really, it hadn't even opened up yet. The legal tampering period opened on Monday, but free agency, where players can put pen to paper, doesn't actually start until Wednesday. On Monday, though, the Texans made some moves.
The fan base isn't too happy about how Nick Caserio spent the team's money on day one, as they didn't really make any splashy moves. However, they did get the best punter in the game, if you ask me.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Texans and former Kansas City Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend have agreed to a two-year $6 million deal.

Townsend has won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs and was a first-team All-Pro in 2022. He was let go from the Chiefs because they moved in a cheaper direction. However, he was a very crucial part of their Super Bowl runs.
The Texans got the best punter in the league for very, very cheap.
