Kelly, 24, spent the preseason with the Dallas Cowboys after signing as an undrafted free agent in May. He saw action in all three preseason games and hauled in two catches for 25 yards. Kelly was waived by Dallas on August 25 and signed by the Texans on Thursday.
From 2019-'24, Kelly played in 51 games with Fresno State, Washington State and Texas Tech. He finished his collegiate career with 237 receptions for 3,251 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Kelly joins former Pittsburgh wideout Jared Wayne on the Texans practice squad. Houston kept seven wide receivers on their 53-man roster - Nico Collins, Christian Kirk, Justin Watson, Braxton Berrios, Xavier Hutchinson, and rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel.
Holskey, a 6-foot-6, 310-pound tackle was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens. He played his college played at Miami (OH), and started 53 of 54 games at right tackle for the RedHawks.
He joins tackles Trent Brown and Jaylon Thomas, in addition to center Eli Cox as the offensive lineman on Houston's practice squad. The Texans spent much of the offseason revamping the offensive line. Rookie Aireontae Ersery is the likely candidate to protect C.J. Stoud's blindside, with the versatile Tytus Howard manning right tackle. Veterans Cam Robinson and Blake Fisher also made the 53-man roster.
