Should the Houston Texans Trade Nico Collins?

This is the question people are asking because the Houston Texans are sitting at 0-4 without a single win on the season, and staring a year of missed playoffs right in the face. Collins also only has this season and next year under contract and then he will be a free agent, so it does bring up some questions.

The answer to this simple question though is no. Collins is the lone building block the Texans have on the offensive side of the ball excluding CJ Stroud. Collins in his first game back from injury had 7 receptions, 118 receiving yards, and two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys. Collins sitting at 27 years old is in the prime of his NFL career, and the Texans need to do everything they can to keep him on the roster. They invested a ton recently into the receiving position, but they were dealt a bad hand with injuries to Jayden Higgins and Tank Dell. The 2026 season will be a long one for Houston, but there should never be trade conversations surrounding the Top-10 receiver in the NFL.
